My son, a Desert Storm vet, encouraged me to visit and "sign-in" on this site. This is my first visit to the same, but I'll return to surf this site; especially to see if "Mr. Wilson" (PFC Cornelius Wilson) is anywhere to be found, here.
Thanks, Tom.

Good to see this site. I was battery executive in Bravo and led the raids to LZ Baldy and Lz Ross as well as the advance party movement for Bravo from Camp Eagle to NAC. The 101st would not even let us dismount in Eagle after we came down from the Rock out of fear of what we would do.

I was the "C" Btry computer at Batallion FDC. It seems as though I have blotted out most of the Vietnam memories. I went arrived at Camp Carroll and was assigned to the Survey section, having been trained in survey at Ft. Sill. After helping the Survey section build most of the hutches, I was transferred to FDC. I remember that a few days after I moved out of the survey section hutch into the FDC hutch, the survey hutch was hit by what I believe was a rocket. It seems it was very close to where my bunk had been. I really cannot remember the names of any of the men who served with me. I would like to hear from some of you guys. I remember seeing the FDC 3/4 ton burning after taking a hit and that someone moved the FDC trailer for our mobile unit to keep it from burning. I remember thinking that I should have moved it instead of just walking by to the relative security of our underground bunker. That hole in the ground became my home for over half of my time spent at Carroll.
