Beauty Lives Only Free
I've searched in gardens the world around
Mingled in fragrance sweet
I sought to find a flower dear
To wrap it up and keep
*
Polynesian beauty touched my heart
bedazzaled I wandered on
The south, south seas soothed me in it's land
My life as a lily in a pond
*
The eastern rose grew out of reach
On ancient hills I cried
The promised land gave roots of old
Medieval voices sighed
*
A new world found after miles and miles
In a state of spirit free
I touched a flower of yellow gold
A bouquet of one I see
*
Petals soft and strong as beauty flows
So gently, graceful lives
I find to share is all there is
To feel the love she gives
