1stBn 40th arty activated in Ft Sill 1966 shipped out on sept 23rd 1966 to vietnam,whent from Oakland to Danang by ship.Convoyed to Dong Ha was in B BATTERY was the one who help paint the name BOUNTYHUNTER on the 105 also was in the 3BN 6TH ARTY

FDO for Bravo at Con Thien through deactivation and then transfered to Bravo 2nd/94th, FO for awhile at C-2 and LZ Sarge then assumed B/2nd/94th XO assignment. Arrived at Dong Ha while B/Btry at Khe Sanh. Lots of rain and mud. Anyone out there remember.
