CHILL
I've followed this trail for oh so long
Like a line painted highway, the end never gone
I drove and I road, but I never got near
I've learned how to walk and to cry with no tears
*
In towns I was lonely, in the bush I was sad
I'm lonlier here and there can't be had
In the crook of a tree as a leaf gently falls
Goes the warmth of a glow, night softly calls
*
I've learned how to walk and to cry with no tears
No shackles and chains are 'er needed here
See dew drops fall forever with love frosty cold
I brace for a turn, why don't I grow old
*
Now spellbound...the sky, the stars drift no more
My silvered dark hair in the wind by the shore
I reach for her hand, can I weather this chill
As dewdrops fall forever and ever...longer still
