Lonely Sky
A hundred thousand miles, a hundred thousand miles
On wings I've gone a hundred thousand miles
The clouds have been my home like a sea from which I've grown
Riding up above on lonely sky
*
Forsaken and alone am I bound to roam and roam
Can I ever set on down and wonder why
They've forgotten me although I've given them a go
A hundred thousand miles I've gone on high
*
As a young man I was old now I'm older so I'm told
The wings of time have never said goodbye
Why do you overlook the happy life you took
Riding up above on lonely sky
*
In a war of stormy nights in the stars of lightening bright
The beacon in my mind is in your skies
You will never be alone as I've been for oh so long
A hundred thousand miles I've gone on high
*
There a landing zone called peace as we skip on clouds beneath
I see a light so far beyond closed eyes
I think you feel it too it seems we always knew
Riding up above on lonely sky
